Open Positions
Marketing & Communications Manager
About the Role
Calyx Global is an independent carbon credit rating agency with a mission to drive better carbon markets for the planet and for people. We help buyers and investors gain confidence about which credits to use or invest in. Our customers include some of the largest corporate buyers and intermediaries in the world.
We are hiring a Marketing & Communications Manager to own the marketing channels that get Calyx in front of the right audiences and drive revenue growth. This is a hands-on role. You will build and manage partnerships with industry publications and coalitions, plan and execute events, coordinate campaigns, and track what is working. You will work closely with our sales team to make sure marketing efforts translate into pipeline and closed deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Marketing Partnerships: Identify and build relationships with industry publications, coalitions, and organizations (e.g., carbon market media, sustainability platforms, industry working groups) to get Calyx in front of target audiences. Manage co-branded content, joint events, academy programs, and publication placements. Be the connective tissue between Calyx and the broader carbon market ecosystem.
- Event Strategy & Execution: Lead planning and logistics for major conferences, side events, and client dinners (e.g., Climate Week, London Climate Week, industry forums). Help event attendees define goals and agendas, organize strategic gatherings, manage registrations, and invitations. Occasionally travel to events. Own end-to-end webinar execution including registration, promotion, dry runs, and follow-up.
- Content & Communications: Set the pace and agenda for company communications. Review and coordinate blog posts, email campaigns, social media, and press outreach for alignment with brand voice and quality standards. Manage the Calyx Global social handle, with a focus on LinkedIn. Pitch content to press and manage media relations.
- Campaign Execution: Plan and run targeted marketing campaigns to reach key accounts and generate qualified leads for the sales team. Coordinate campaign briefs and ensure content, emails, and social posts ship on schedule. Work with RevOps on list management and automation workflows.
- Marketing Analytics: Track campaign, event, and channel performance. Report on where leads are coming from and what is converting. Conduct basic account research to support sales. Maintain dashboards so the sales and marketing teams can make data-driven decisions together.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing with a track record of building partnerships and running events that generate pipeline. Experience in carbon markets, climate, or sustainability is a strong plus.
- Experience managing an organization's participation in industry conferences, co-branded events, and partnership programs. You know how to turn a conference presence into relationships and leads.
- Demonstrated experience working closely with a sales team to generate qualified leads and support revenue outcomes. Comfortable liaising with corporate clients.
- Strong analytical instincts. You track what is working, build dashboards, and bring data to the conversation. Not a RevOps specialist, but someone who pays attention to the numbers.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail in reviewing content.
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a distributed team.
